Mini Review: To Best The Boys by Mary Weber
Everything about this book was captivating and I was hooked from the first sentence! From the fabulous cover, to the fast paced, action packed story inside, this book really delivers! The characters were amazing and the labyrinth was tense and full of unexpected twists and turn making the pages of this book fly by swiftly. My comparison would be a Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire meets Hunger Games, and I thought that it was a fabulous read!

Mini Review: The Line Between by Tosca Lee
This book was really the edge of your seat, anxious for what is going to happen next reading that I expect in a thriller. The story was intriguing and I was totally invested in the outcome of the circumstances due to the fact that I really connected with the characters. Honestly, I was anxious and terrified for most of this book because the author writes such a compellingly believable and all too potentially possible scenario of disaster. I would highly recommend this book to someone looking for a fast paced thriller or someone who likes really gripping apocalyptic fiction!

Mini Review: Daughters of Northern Shores by Joanne Bischof
There are some stories that are hard or emotional reads, but they end up sticking with you and really settling in as one of your favorites, and that is how I feel about this book. It is emotional, gripping, and complex, but full of redemption, forgiveness, and courage. This story had me anxious for 98% of the book as the characters deal with feuding neighbors, past hurts, and Thor who becomes seriously ill. I loved this book in a different way than Sons of Blackbird Mountain, but I really think that it was exceptionally written and pulled off the hard task of redeeming a character that I truly felt might have been beyond redemption.

The Secrets of Paper and Ink by Lindsay Harrel
This was a captivating split time novel that I thought was really exceptional. The characters were really genuine and the story lines were compelling in both time periods. This book deals with some very realistic life circumstances that these characters must navigate and they will win your heart along the way. This book should go on your must read list and will stick with you long after reading the last pages.

~The White City by Grace Hitchcock~
The White City has the feel of a cozy mystery with a bit of romance. Characters Jude and Winnie were likable and had great chemistry. There was minimal suspense in this book and very few twists or turns, but it was still a worthwhile read. If you are looking for an evenly paced mystery or clean historical for even a YA reader, this would be a good novel to check out!
