During Garrett Addison’s first week on the job as a criminal investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, his team is called out to a murder scene of a young girl. She’s the third victim in a string of disappearances with one thing in common–a Polaroid photo of each victim left behind at the crime scene.
The FBI is pulled into the case to help, and Garrett finds himself working with Special Agent Jordan Lambert, the woman he once loved. When yet another girl dies–number six–Garrett blames himself and believes he doesn’t have what it takes to be an agent. What he’ll discover is that, while he may be done with the killer, the killer is not done with him–or Jordan.

This novel completely captivated me from the first page to the last. Lisa Harris is a new to me author, so I went into this book with no idea of her writing style or previous knowledge of other books in this series. I could not stop reading this book! I tend to read mostly romance or historical fiction, but every now and then I will read a thriller or suspense novel because I do enjoy them as well. I was so invested in the plot and story line of this book right from the start. The prologue was grabbing, and chilling, and totally had me hooked before I even hit chapter one. I really enjoyed that this story spanned over a long length of time. It made the story realistic and helped me as a reader invest in Garrett and Jordan as characters. With each chapter and each new victim I was more and more curious and anxious to discover the identity of the serial killer. The ending did not disappoint! I absolutely love being surprised at the end of a book! No spoilers here! Read the book! I felt that the romance in this book was sweet and very true to life. The characters had an attraction, but did not jump into a romance right from the start. I thought that was such realistic situation especially for these particular characters. I totally enjoyed this book. I have plans to start this series from the beginning! If you are a fan of suspense novels this book is a must read!
